      I think there are misconceptions about what this device does - it is an adapter for Mini-Toslink (digital optical) to regular Toslink (digital optical) connections. For my uses, it works as expected so I am happy with this!
      The male end of the adapter could have a firmer 'click' when fitting but it still does the job and provides a clean digital connection.
